I decided to be a lawyer becauseI wanted to help people and be involved in making people's lives better. My previous training and work as a scientist
taught me how to approach technical issues in an objective manner. The scientific approach is a real advantage in helping sort out the complicated, messy situations of my clients,
clarifying the priorities and issues.
Clients can help their attorney by educating themselves on legal issues. The better educated the client the better the outcome we can achieve, usually for
less cost than if I have to spend too much time educating my clients. Most clients should be willing to work together and even supervise the attorney for the best service and results.
I am an advocate for healthy marriages, great relationships and strong families. As such, I want to prevent as much as possible the pain and agony of bad
and unnecessary divorces, to protect children from bad parenting and bad divorces. I was truly motivated by my recollection of my own divorce many years before and listening to Dr. Laura
on the radio always telling people to hire a really good family law attorney.
The thing I like best about what I do is when I can help families reconcile and find
resources to recreate their real love for each other. Education is the key. Marriage education, not counseling, in conjunction with alternative dispute resolution can save
many, many floundering marriages. Preserving relationships between parents and children, grandparents, siblings, and husbands and wives is my joy and satisfaction whenever possible.
A small staff of dedicated professionals are always available to take good care of our clients and help provide for clients' needs. Our paralegal has 20
years of legal experience and speaks fluent Spanish. The office manager has over 20 years experience in running the back end of businesses. I am readily accessible to clients even when on the
road. As your lawyer you will find that I am informal, friendly, insightful, straightforward and direct. I am good at seeing the undercurrents and unspoken issues and emotions in a case and
enjoy coming up with creative, innovative solutions that meet the real needs of my clients. Long ago I decided not to help facilitate any divorce that was one that "didn't need to happen.
Personal Interests: I love the outdoors, dog training, spending time with my family, volunteering with teenagers through Boy Scouts and church, reading, cooking, knitting and being a grandparent. |
